We will be running a monthly program plan with themes and related activities for each theme. These will be posted beside the main door in the foyer.
 
September:     Getting to Know Each Other
 
October: Thanksgiving
Fall Colours
Halloween
 
November: Dinosaurs
Reptiles
 
December: Christmas
Christmas Party (Parents, Siblings are Invited)
 
The above four months will focus on classification , numbers, seriation, counting and colours.
 
January: Winter Fun

Smell and Taste and Texture
Teddy Bear Picnic Day
 
April: Spring Flowers

The above six months will focus on letters, shapes, colours and opposites.
 
Other Activities: Colour Days, Pyjama Day, Backwards Day, Hat Day, Teddy Bear Day.

Play Schedule
 
9:00         Arrival and Welcome, overview of Activities for the day
 
9:15 "Free Play" Children move around the activities , which include the housekeeping area, the gross motor area,(large blocks, climber, basketball game, etc), table puzzle area ( puzzles are appropriate for three and four year olds, and individual developmental needs) small block area, arts and crafts(including easel painting, self-help table, organized art activity) all at their leisure. This time offers an opportunity for the children to play, interact with each other and the teachers and the duty parent. Snack time is within this time frame. The Duty parent is responsible to help out with snack and also bring food items. Children with allergies are encouraged to bring their own snack.
 
11:00 Circle Time: Structured learning time in small groups according to the age of the children. This is the time to learn about finger plays, felt board stories, feely bag, and other small group activities.
